One brand that stands out among several big names in 3D puzzle making is Rolife (part of the Robotime group). If you’ve ever wondered how Rolife compare to other brands, the quality is of good level, and the kits just as easy to build as some of the best book nook kit manufacturers. Where they differ is variety. Cutebee has more designs, however, the Rolife DIY book nook kits can be just as easily curated into collections based on the genre of interest, or themes for book nook kits

All 13 Rolife Book Nook Kits Sorted into Collections

Christmas Collection

As Christmas approaches, families can get into the spirit of the season by assembling a couple of book nook kits. The Christmas Street model (TGC06), and the Christmas Indoor Scene (TGC07). Both models have an assembly time of up to 3.5 hours. Once they’re built, they can be used as bookshelf inserts to bring some festive cheer to the bookshelves, or even among other Christmas ornaments on any shelf anywhere in the home.

Urban Scenes Collection

For those who like the thought of escapism, there’s Sunshine Town and the Bookstore kit. Both of these models are light up book nook kits and can compliment each other when displayed on the same shelf, at separate ends.

The Sunshine Town book nook kit (TGB02) is a small urban alleyway with a bookstore, coffee house, mail box, and several planters lining the alleyway. The classic Bookstore (TGB07) depicts a scene inside a traditional book store, and includes a leather reading chair surrounded by bookshelves with various titles and genres.

As a collection displayed together, you could imagine the scenery of walking along the alleyway, finding the bookstore open, walking in, taking a seat and cozying up to read a book.

Fantasy Collection

There’s a few fantasy book nook kits in the Rolife line-up, each of them with elements that would compliment the entire series of Harry Potter books. The Magic House (TGB03) is Rolife’s version of Cutebee’s Magic Alley kit. Both are similar to Knockturn Alley and Diagon Alley that feature numerous wizarding stores devoted to the Dark Arts.

Another theme Rolife has is Time Travel (TGB04), which is similar to the Jacobite Express, (Hogwarts Express), that’d fit in with a Harry Potter collection. If you wanted even more, another would be the Magic Pharmacist book nook kit by Cutebee, which would be complimentary to the Magic House design.

What is unique (and a first for Rolife) is the Century Train (TGE01), which is a matching set of bookends featuring a similar train design to the Time Travel kit. The only difference is rather than it being a scene displayed between books, the bookends get placed either side, creating the illusion of the books becoming a tunnel that the train travels through.

Nature Collection

For the green-thumbed among us, there’s a couple of Rolife book nook kits centered around gardens and flora. The Garden House (TGB06) is in the style of a French garden house with windows throughout letting the sunshine in and a solitary reading chair to read without being disturbed.

The Floral Corner (TGB09) book nook kit is like the outside of a flower store, filled with over a dozen varieties of flowers, outdoor seating to enjoy them, sign posts, and a balcony where you could imagine sitting enjoying a coffee to the floral scents from below.

Romance Collection

For the romance afficiondos who love to snuggle up to a good love story, Rolife have a couple of kits that can take your imagination on a blossoming romantic escapade similar to our date night approved Tokyo Alley book nook kit. These designs evoke a sense of escapism, where you can let your mind wander aimlessly around in tranquil settings.

The Romantic Venice (TGB08) book nook kit captures the 'City of Canals' in miniature form, while the latest release (November 2024) of Arcade Dating (TGB10) has a design to evoke nostalgic memories of romantic strolls through covered passageways filled with stalls. These were the times before there were shopping malls.

Japanese Collection

Among the best book nook kits from all the popular manufacturers are Japanese inspired book nook kits. In Rolife’s collection, they have two. The Sakura Densya (TGB01), and the Falling Sakura (TGB05). Both capture the Cherry Blossom season in Japan; more so the Falling Sakura as there’s fallen leaves sprinkled throughout and a cutout of a girl looking up as if making an attempt to catch the leaves as they fall from the trees.

If you were to be rotating book nook kits to keep the decor on your bookshelves fresh, Rolife Japanese kits would be ideal to usher in the spring around March/April, followed by spring designs of perhaps the Floral Corner, then Sunshine Town for the summer.

To Summarize

Rolife are among the bigger brands of book nook kit manufacturers, despite having much less of a selection than Cutebee but more unique kits than Anavrin. What they do have though is different designs for different genres, and that means for bibliophiles who like these for bookshelf personalization, there’s enough designs for collections, and to rotate those collections throughout the year.
